Earlier this week, the famous decentralized gaming platform on Arbitrum TreasureDAO announced their new creator program called Treasure Create. The program aims to cultivate the Treasure ecosystem and a community of excellent video content creators in the game.
Early Growth And Attempt of Treasure
TreasureDAO started as an NFT project named Treasure NFT on the Loot ecosystem in September 2021. Loot is a series of 8000 NFTs, of which each NFT is a TXT file composed of 8 phrases. Then each phrase is equivalent to a randomly generated attribute (such as weapon, chest armor, head armor, necklace, ring, etc.) with different rarity. With the heat of NFT and Loot, Treasure successfully built a unique community.
Shortly after Treasure released NFTs, the team later issued $MAGIC tokens and created a customized DeFi project for $MAGIC — $MAGIC Farm. Treasure tried to provide incentives for ecological development through the GameFi + DeFi approach, and announced the development of a game named Legions with $MAGIC as the game token, but unfortunately this approach did not achieve the expected results. But in this attempt, Treasure discovered a new model — the $MAGIC ecosystem.
Formation of TreasureDAO And Transition of $MAGIC
Treasure team later announced the governance organization TreasureDAO. TreasureDAO holds the rights of the team, such as $MAGIC distribution, which projects are incubated in the ecosystem, etc. And it is the sole recipient of $MAGIC incentives. Anyone can join the management of TreasureDAO through voting after they stake $MAGIC.
After TreasureDAO was established, it officially kicked off its narrative as a GameFi platform in 2022 — continuously creating games on blockchains, as well as bringing in external games or other projects, all of which scenarios require the consumption of the $MAGIC token, and eventually forming an ecosystem with $MAGIC at its core.
Ecosystem of Treasure
Treasure has since become a decentralized gaming ecosystem with shared assets, resources, community and infrastructure based on $MAGIC. Players can earn $MAGIC by playing games, mining and participating in games.
Firstly, Legions was turned into Bridgeworld, which is not only a single game in the $MAGIC ecosystem, but also an expanding ecosystem in itself. Secondly, another ecosystem, Smolverse, was launched, in which there are a series of NFT mini-games such as Smol Bodies, Smol Cars and Smol Brains. For example, Smol Brains is a monkey NFT, but their IQ grows with staking to unlock more tasks. The team also launched NFT trading platforms Trove and Smolville, which serve as the OpenSea in the $MAGIC ecosystem.
In addition to launching its own mini-games, it is also actively expanding its external chain game into the MAGIC ecosystem. For example, TreasureDAO has partnered with Strider team to build a 3A NFT and game studio.
Differentiate Itself From Normal GameFi
Many GameFi projects seem to succesfully attract lots of users at the begining, but soon lose all the attention because they are not able to develop, or to fill the demand from users. However, TreasureDao, as the first NFT+GameFi project on Arbitrium, deconstructs Gamefi in another way, which is community spontaneous. The game comes from the community from 0 to 1, and the stickiness of the community is far different from other games by other teams. Through $MAGIC token incentives and community ownership, this drives the construction, product development, and governance of the Treasure metaverse at a later stage.
TreasureDAO is still launching new games every month, and there is no need to elaborate on the story later. In short, it continues to attract external users and funds into the $MAGIC ecosystem like a snowball, or at least maintain the players who have entered the ecosystem to settle down instead of losing them with the bear market.
